I am fundraising to make a difference for families affected by childhood cancer
My Updates
In memory of Brenton Knowles (forever young)
Sunday 1st FebWe’re hitting the pirate roads again this September 🏴☠️
And we’re doing it for a cause that lives very close to our hearts Childhood Cancer Support.
This is not just a charity we support.
This is a journey we have lived.
In honour of our beautiful boy Brenton, we want to help keep this lifeline going for other families who are walking the same road we once did a road no family ever chooses, and no one ever forgets.
When childhood cancer enters a family’s life, it doesn’t just affect health it affects everything.
Treatment often means travelling to Brisbane for weeks or months at a time. While you’re there, life doesn’t pause. You still need somewhere to stay. You still need food on the table. There are hospital parking fees, accommodation costs, meals, medications for your sick child, and countless unexpected expenses that add up faster than you can catch your breath.
And back home?
The bills keep coming. Mortgages, car loans, electricity, phones, internet, credit cards all the everyday costs that don’t disappear just because your world has been turned upside down.
The pressure this puts on families is enormous. It’s exhausting. It’s overwhelming. And it’s something no parent should have to face alone.
That’s where Childhood Cancer Support steps in.
They help ease the burden by providing accommodation, transport to and from hospital appointments, family fun days that offer a moment of normality, and practical support when families need it most. These things may seem small to some but to a family in crisis, they mean everything.
This September, we’re asking you to stand with us.
To help us raise funds so this support can continue.
To help other families feel less alone.
To help keep Brenton’s legacy alive in the most meaningful way we know.
Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read, to care, and to support this cause that means so much to us. 🤍
