Celebrating 50 Years

In 2026, Childhood Cancer Support marks an important milestone. Fifty years of standing beside regional families facing childhood cancer.

From our very first house in Brisbane in 1976 to the village of support that continues to grow today, one thing has never changed. Our purpose is to help families impacted by childhood cancer feel supported, connected and cared for when they need it most.

Across five decades, thousands of parents, siblings and children have found stability, comfort and a sense of belonging through our doors. This legacy has been built on compassion and community, made possible by the generosity of supporters, volunteers, sponsors and partners who have walked alongside families year after year.

How your support makes a difference.

Since 1975, Childhood Cancer Support has been helping families impacted by childhood cancer with a place to call home during their child’s cancer treatment in Brisbane. Our recently renovated accommodation houses encourages family and friends to visit to provide love and support to the families to assist throughout the cancer journey.

We provide holistic support to families impacted by childhood cancer in an inclusive, warm and loving social environment for the families, professional counselling services and transport services to and from the Queensland Children’s Hospital.
